Coverage of MedMat
The journal’s interdisciplinary coverage across materials, devices, systems and translational medicine.
Aims and scope
MedMat is an international, interdisciplinary publication covering medical materials, devices and systems. It welcomes fundamental research and clinically oriented work in medicine, materials science and engineering, particularly studies addressing diagnosis, therapy, repair, regeneration and the replacement of diseased tissues or organs.
The journal publishes original research, authoritative reviews and rapid communications on major pre-clinical and clinical questions in medical science and bioengineering. Submissions should explain both the scientific advance and its relevance to biological function or healthcare.
Principal subject areas
- Cardio-cerebrovascular and interventional materials and devices
- Orthopedic and dental materials, instruments and repair systems
- Skin, wound-healing and tissue-engineering materials
- Imaging, diagnostic and medical-sensing materials and devices
- Nanomedicine, targeted delivery vectors and controlled-release systems
- Healthcare, wearable and implantable materials and devices
